Like the annual SEMA trade show that the White River Toyota Blog briefly discussed at the beginning of November, another major event in just a couple of weeks away. The Los Angeles Auto Show starts on Nov. 30 and Toyota will definitely be making headlines throughout the automotive industry. At this point, details are about non-existent for what the premiere of the Future Toyota Adventure Concept (FT-AC) will have to offer. The automaker has only told us that the new concept vehicle will be shown off on Nov. 30 at 9 a.m. in Los Angeles. However, we have a few hypotheses about what we will be seeing. These people can be our friends and neighbors and it’s important we all pitch in as much as we can. White River Toyota is running a canned food drive in White River Junction, VT to benefit the great work and support all of the resources offered at the Springfield Family Center. The center provides supplemental groceries free of charge as well as hot meals and a day shelter with several of services and resources available to those who need them the most. How long has Toyota been in the United States?

Earlier this week, Toyota celebrated its 60th anniversary of operating in the United States. In the past 60 years, Toyota has achieved some outstanding things including developing two of the most popular cars in the world with the Camry and the Corolla. But nobody could have foreseen this level of success in those early days when Toyota’s North American headquarters opened in Hollywood on Oct. 31, 1957. The automaker repurposed the 3,000-square-feet space, once occupied by a previously failed dealership. Fast forward to today, Toyota has a presence in every state, consisting of 14 manufacturing facilities and there are almost 1,500 Toyota dealerships (including White River Toyota) operating in the country.
