Winter Supply Box

Not completely related to vehicle preparation, but no less important, is the inclusion of a winter supply box for your vehicle. This might be one of the most important things you can do. Placing this box in your trunk can be the difference if something goes wrong on a cold day. Some things that should be in this box includes a change of warm clothes, a new pair of gloves, a radio, a bag of sand for traction, an ice scraper, and dried foods that are high in energy.

Check Tire Pressure and Tread

Another important thing for you to do is to check your tires and see if they’re prepared for winter weather conditions! This means checking their tread, their pressure, and to make sure that they have no damage. Rotate them, as well, for the best results!

Check and Replace Coolant

Anti-freeze is important to keep your engine running in cold weather. It prevents it from freezing and stranding you somewhere on the road or in a parking lot. You should make sure you add extra if you need it, and make sure that there are no leaks anywhere in the vehicle!
