Steps to be Followed while Changing a Flat Tire

The first thing to be done before changing the flat tire is that you ensure that your vehicle is not holding up traffic and is parked away in a secluded spot with the parking brake engaged and the hazard lights turned on. As a next step, access the tool kit containing a jack, a lug wrench, and a spare tire.

Use the wrench to loosen the nuts holding the flat tire in place. Remember to loosen them by only one turn in anticlockwise order. After that, use the jack to raise the vehicle and then remove all the nuts using the wrench and lift and pull the flat tire towards you to unhinge the tire.

Hold the spare tire in its place and fasten the nuts using your hands. Lower the jack and then use the wrench to ensure that the nuts are tightened and will not come off when the car is in motion. As soon as you replace the tools in their designated area, your flat tire situation has been resolved, and you are prepared to continue your journey.
